Hi all!
I'll be headed to the tail of the dragon on Monday through Thursday if anyone will be down there, I have the only DOG in the group but there's a total of 5 of us going. Unfortunately I picked up a rattle (I thought it was the wrenches in my bag clanking together...unfortunately not) on the way to my buddies house to put it on the trailer and I'm racking my brains trying to trouble shoot this thing. Noise does seem to be coming from the engine/primary/tank area, haven't pinpointed it yet. I had to head to work tonight but I'm going over tomorrow to see if I can get this figured out. I'm leaning towards the push rods needing adjusted since I did have the rocker boxes off this past winter. The sound doesn't occur until I accelerate from around 50-70 and the rattle (not the normal tick the 117 has) is quite noticeable. I'm going to start with all the shit that comes loose (tank vent, tank mounts, engine mounts etc) and work from there. Any other advice would be appreciated! I'll be down at the dragon whether she's running smooth or shake rattle and rolling so if anybody will be in the area and want to ride lets Roll!
