on the wiring diagram for the wireplus i found on the forum it shows a thunderheart module with 8 wires on it. mine has two plugs with 4 and 2 the factory diagram shows this set up and the wire plus diagram shows three more wires but no plug. does the wire plus come with a different ign module?

i had a loose wire on the battery overheat and short across the harness to the ignition module. now i have a blinking green lite on the ech and no flashing light on the thunderheart module. i bought a used module and the red light lit up when i plugged it in flashed a couple times now nothing. im guessing i have a power feed problem from my ech to the ign module. i did find a diagram but have not check for powers or grounds. i did an updated ech a few years ago. the one with the adaptor module sandwitched between the harness plug and module. does any one know what all the led's on the ech represent?

Hey Paul there is a lot of information on this site. You need to do a search or go to the forums pull down menu and find the HOW TO section there you can read and fix just about anything on you DOG

well i got the bike to fire now. There is no 12volts to the igniton module on the red wire from the ehc. if i jump power to the red wire the thunder heart module will light up and it flashed while cranking, the bike will run until i kill power to the red wire. i wonder if i can wire the pwr wire with a switch or relay to 12volts. all other functions seem to work, blinkers, highlow beam, crank etc.... Will the ground on the ign switch carry enough current to ground a pwr relay? id like to save the expense of the wire plus kit for now i have a few other issues, can't seem to get the clutch adjusted right and the oring on one of the clutch forks rolled out. the wiring diagram i have seen on the wp374 seem to have a different number of plugs or wires to the ign module than my bike.

Here you go this should help you out. In answer to your question NO WP does not provide you with an ignition module. You should try to upgrade to the one where you can adjust the timing yourself, it certainly help the performance of the Bike.

Carlos :2thumbs:
