ONE WORD.....BAKER...
Correct you are sir. I think they dabled with it for a while then stopped. They are typically on 04 and earlier.Someone correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe the BDL's are available for the DSSC.
Do you have Baker? If so do you have any pictures? Also I see you're on Long Island too, did you get your bike from Empire before they closed?ONE WORD.....BAKER...
Your pulleys, ring gear, bendix drive & belt are "Karata" and the engine trans plate is mfg. by "Boyce".To clear the record "Rev Tech" (Custom Chrome)has never mfg. any belt drives.I have a 5" Open Primary on my bike it is stamped on the inside plate KENNY BOYCE PRO STREET now from what I've been told he just buys from manufactures and resells and stamps his name on it. I was told my primary is a rev tech if that is of any help to you and there is pictures of it on my bike in my garage on my profile.

Karata
#2 is incorrect. We have Dry primary yes with no oil, BUT we do have to blow out the clutch plate dust. Well your suppose to blow out the clutch plate dust if you want the disk to live longer anyway. As far as looks to each their own, As far as performance I think at least in my case the belt drive outperforms my stock primary.
1. Way better clutch and engagement (shifts way smoother)
2. No more changing out primary fluid. (maintenance free)
:iagree:WOW, I was really set back when Jim himself added to the post here and gave no information on what's going on with Karata. I was thinking he would fill us all in on what the hold up is but said NOTHING AT ALL to address that. .............................................................
I must say I was really disappointed he didn't add to his post more than he did.
Wow, what a response, and in front of 5000 plus members. So instead of just three potential customers getting the run around on the phone, all following this thread just got a taste of bad customer relations. I really had hoped that my intuitions were wrong as i really wanted a karata drive but not any longer. It kinda reminds me of the wire plus deal. The early ones were great and everybody raved on them then something happened to the service and the product in the later ones and had lots of upset people.Your pulleys, ring gear, bendix drive & belt are "Karata" and the engine trans plate is mfg. by "Boyce".To clear the record "Rev Tech" (Custom Chrome)has never mfg. any belt drives.

Karata
PM sentAnyone interested in a used Karata 4" including OBS? 2K + shipping - (pm me, thanks)
Maybe the response is not what you were looking for, maybe because its straight to the point. I am not sure what is going on at Karata and its not any of my business. But I will tell you that my experience with Karata was great. I got a great deal and was able to call Jim pretty much with any issues I had with the install. Just my experience.Wow, what a response, and in front of 5000 plus members. You're kidding right? The response appeared to be to something that wasn't even in the posting here. I've talked to Jim before, and brought a drive from him for my K-9 a few years back. He's a great person in general and appears to be a good business person also. This is why I was surprised by what was posted by him.Maybe the response is not what you were looking for, maybe because its straight to the point. You're still getting the whole thread wrong. The posting wasn't BEATING UP Karata, it was asking if there was something else that 4" belt. Nothing in my post said anything BAD at ALL about Karata. But I question that if Jim posted on this thread that he didn't address anything that was being talked about in the thread. Plus with a lot of company going out of business, EXAMPLE: Stainless Creations, without telling anyone you would think that could had been cleared up. At least we would know that we waiting for something, not nothing. I have NO ISSUE WITH JIM OR KARATA and would still buy from him in a second. But if these aren't going to be made anymore I would like to find another one to buy. This is really an issue of getting no information from Karata. And there was a chance to address it in this thread that was passed up.No I am not kidding. What I think you should do is either work it out with Jim at Karata or simply if you are not willing to wait buy something else. Sorry that people are having to wait to get their drives that may be an internal issue I waited for mine and called often to see where the order was. but to go posting shit about a company that many have had good luck with ????. Personally, I like my Karata drive and was willing to wait, I could have ordered other drives but decided it was Karata for me. Also not sure how the other companies are after the purchase but during my install They Karata "Jim" made sure to stick with me during the install during some sticking points in the process. I get it you an others arent happy with the wait so buy something else..
Interesting. I don't think so though. My Karata rocks though.BDL tech department said, yes they do have a drive for a 2006 K9 rt side drive with a 4'' belt.
