Again about Avon tires

I was just woundering.
I hear alot of people having problem with the Avon tires,and some folks dont.
Could weather and temperatures be a part of the problem?

What temps do you have in your parts?
Would be interesting to know.

i havent had a problem with them. i changed both front and rear tires and breaks at 13k miles

Those of us that were having issues were the recipients of a manufacturing defect. Per the Avon North American rep, they don't know how long this defect went on for or which batches were affected. I've had three rear tires split on my scoot...

Same here Brew.....went through 3 rear Avons in a month.

Most I've ever got is 7,500 miles out of a rear tire. The last Avon rear tire (that didn't split on me) only got 7,000 miles and it was wore out when I replaced it. Got about 5,000 miles on my rear Metzler and it still looks good.

I'm in need of a rear tire for my 2008 K9. It has Avon Venom - R 300/35 R 18 on it now. Give me some suggestions on the best place to buy a new tire. Thanks Gary.
