Oil Question

I am finding oil when I wipe the under side of my air filter cover.

Where could this be coming from? Ideas?

the breathers are sending oil vapor into the air cleaner housing and it is blowing back from there. If you have a new K&N probibly the filter was over oiled.

Too much oil. Fill it up to the bottom of the dipstick. I had the same problem on my Dog and on my Street Glide. Now i run about 3 1/2 qts and no more blow by.

Mine has always done the same thing. I found a way to fix it after getting tired of having it drip onto my exhaust pipes. I use a large Kotex pad and cut it down to the width of the air cleaner cover. Wipe the inside of the cover out with alcohol, peel off the back of the pad and stick it on the bottom inside cover. It really absorbs a ton of oil. I change the pad once or twice a year (when I change oil) and no more problems.
