So if it its Metzler...Who has the best PRICE!! Iam taking my avon off..it only has 1000 miles and it also has the split and flat spot in the middle 150mm wide..looks like dog shit..Iam shopping..so if anyone can find the best price w/ shipping ..please post it up!!

The avons split with hardly any milage, does it really matter what the cost is? I would not put one one if avon supplied them to me free, too much of a risk. And yes, I've had them split on me also.

Metzelers for me, can't live with brand new tires with sidewall splits.

And yes, the clearance is CLOSE!

You can't go wrong with the metzlers. They handle great,even in the rain. Got caught in a huge unexpected thunderstorm on the way home from having mine put on. Have about 3,000 miles on mine,and they look brand new. Still have some of them little whiskers on the front tire.

Is it the picture or does the belt rub the rib on the tire?

The belt is missing the tire by about 1/32", since it is not rubbing the belt, I am not going to trim any rubber off the tire.

That's right, don't fix it if it ain't broke. I have the same, or a fraction more, on my new Metzeler. But please notice how exposed your rim lip is compared to when you had an Avon on.... There are always pros and cons....
