Ok so between weather, holidays, travel for work, and home projects I had neglected my dog for several weeks and figured it was safe and sound in it's dust proof, cat proof, thief resistant, storage trailer. I returned home from a trip a couple of weeks ago and opened my bike trailer to go for a ride.......
To my shock and horror there laid my Limited Edition K9 on its side in the bike trailer. WTF
Of course your mind races thinking all sorts of sabotage, accidents, who moved the trailer huh...what duh..... I dove into the trailer and like a victim needing CPR tended to my dog.
Now this is the lesson I want you all to learn from my fuck up. Never turn your handle bars away from the the kickstand. Seems that a slow leak in my huge rear tire caused it to go flat and having the bars turned towards the right, as the tire deflated the bike was pulled over in the direction of the handle bars and fell over.
And the happy ending, I cannot express how grateful I am to announce the only damages were:......my mirror was moved (not damaged just turned) and my nice spiked XOPRODOX throttle grip put a 3" scratch in the trailer wall. THAT'S ALL!!!!!
I was so traumatized I even had a bad dream that night that my exhaust had a big dent in it. When I woke I had to go out and look again to realize it was just a bad dream the pipes are fine.
So guys be careful which way those bars are turned a deflating 300mm tire can pull your bike over.
