Frustrated!!

First ride on my 06 K9 started out with the Speedo not working. I turned the key off and restarted it and everything was good for about 5 miles, then the horn chirps 1 time, flashers start flashing and engines stops. I pull over turned the key off and back on twice before it starts and runs fine. I get home same day and turn bike off and restart about 15 mins later and i get it to start but sounds like its running on 1 cylinder. I try again and i get the horn chirp and flashers "will not start". I turn key off and on again then it runs but real rough. I have checked all battery connections, ground wire, ignition wires, coil wires and cleaned post on crank sensor. Bike has brand new battery thats been on battery tender. I put new plugs in it and checked to make sure i was getting spark to both plugs. Any Thoughts? EHC has not been replaced but all lights seems to be working properly on it from what i've reserched on here. I'm Clueless at this point. Help!! Thanks! :bang:

Id say EHC...seems like at one point you lost ignition to at least one cylinder, and possibly not getting correct mixture all intermittently. If all connection are good Id swap the EHC and see what happens. Buy one and if thats not the prob sell it on here.

Im sure there are some members that will chime in with some ways to eliminate the other possibilities, I know usually on most bike there is no way to directly test the computer, just eliminate all other posssibilities is the best you can do. But Im no BDM expert by any means.

take the "new" battery to a shop and get it load tested. i have had 2 "new batteries" that were bad. make sure you have a good solid ground with clean connections also. this is where i would start.

And when its runnin make sure you're getting 14.2 volts back to the battery at idle. Your bike maight have a circuit breaker comin back from the voltage regultor or a fuse if it was upgraded.

Disconnect your key switch at the jst connector and jumper the connector. If the problem goes away then replace the key switch.
