On another note, was your nightrod stock. We have some harleys and two of them have over 20,000 miles and two with about 10,000 each and all mileage has been trouble free except for one instance, which was human error(not mechanical).
I bought it new and here's the history of problems I ran into, (bear in mind I paid the harley techs to do the work at every interval)
1,000 miles; Needed to have the entire exhaust swapped out for a new one due to an unknown scrapping noise that couldn't be diagnosed after several visits to dealer
6,000 miles; both master cyclinders have leaked so much that the corrosion on the paint around the seals is falling off and gets replaced
7,500 miles; ABS shuts off, later found out a tech hadn't re-zip tied a connection that was touching the exhaust
8,000 miles; Front light necele starts to rattle and create noise that takes me 2,000 miles to find it's source
9,000 miles; a rear rattling sound, believed to be a cracked fender (harley tech said) is actually a turn signal that needs to be opened up and repacked
11,000 miles; Because a tech was lazy an oil seal broke and leaked all over the engine
13,500 miles; transmission craps out on me, clutch, 3rd gears and one piece have to be replaced
14,000 miles; a seriously broken and cracked hose leading into the airbox needs to be replaced, even though it was fine before going in for transmission repairs.
14,000 miles; I begin seeing transmission fluid all over the drive belt covers which the techs first say is a break in the lines but then say is actually from an over flow pump (took different techs in different states to tell me what's really going on)

14,500 miles; front wheel bearings need to be replaced after breaking on the road and creating a nasty noise:bang::bang::bang:
16,000 miles; another oil seal breaks from the crappy transmission repairs and again my engine is covered in oil.
And about every 3,000 miles the heat shields need to be tightened, but know there is so much Loctite on em I can even fit my tool in the holes any more.:loony:
I wish I kept all the work orders, I would have lemon lawed the bike by now
