circuit breaker

hey new guy here, can someone help me out and tell me which post on my 30 amp circuit breaker the lead wire from my voltage regulator would go on? would it go on the post with pos. battery, or on the other side/post with acc/aux? thanks for any help

Personally I do not have any experience with the circuit breaker.

other side,NOT the same side as the battery. It would offer no protection to the VR if wired directly to the + side of the battery.

The wire from the vr will go on the pos/battery terminal of the circuit breaker,and the wire from there to the battery will go on the acc/aux terminal. Some circuit breakers are labeled like that,and some aren't. I don't know that it really matters. Basically the pos/battery terminal is where your voltage source connects to,and the acc/aux terminal is where the load goes(i.e. what you're running with the voltage source.) In this case the voltage source is the alternator/stator,voltage goes from there to the voltage regulator,out of the voltage regulator through the circuit breaker,and to the battery to charge it. Hope that makes sense.

Goes to the load side of the fuse, breaker. That way it provides protection if it overcharges or short and will trip the breaker-blow fuse before buring up the battery and other items that are directly to the battery such as the EHC.

I have an 03 pittbull , and someone removed the circuit breaker and everything is going directly to the battery. So what size circuit breaker is appropriate ? I was think a 30 amp any opinions

Sorry to piggy back on your thread "410nut" but I read a post from a guy on here that changed out his circuit breaker for a fuse. That way you could see if it was blown. Sounds like a good idea, does anyone agree or disagree? If done, would a 30 amp fuse be sufficient?
Has anyone done this? A pic would be awesome!

It was automatically done on all bikes at dealers. Its recommended you change it out. Apparently it blows a lot faster than the circuit breaker. Its a 40 amp fuse
