HAS ANYONE PUT A TOE-HEEL SHIFTER ON THEIR DOGS.

I dropped a real heavy couch on my foot and it hurts like crazy to do the upshifts. Anyone have any pics of this type of shifter on a chopper?

Thanks

They come stock on the harley heritage and all baggers I think. Also there's a thread on here about floorboards for dogs.

When I was working at the dealer, I built one for a woman using 2 of the shift arms. Welded it up, polished it, couldn't even tell it had been welded. I'll try to find some pics. If I have some, I'll post them. If you could find another shift arm and send me both, I could do the same modification for you.

I have some old stock harley shifters if you want to experiment. They are free, you pay the shippng. I probably have enough 07 to 12 harley parts to almost build another bike.

heel toe shifter

i built one for my k-9. i bought another shifter and i cut both of the shifters off the housing. then i welded them back to fit my foot. then i had it rechromed. i have a left drop foot so i cant shift up. thats why i made it. i had pics in the gallery long time ago but they redid the pics. i'll repost them when i get home.

Did you find any pictures yet? Did it look the same as the way Dino did it?

Sorry, spent an hour this morning and looked threw some of my pics but no luck yet. With over 20k pictures on my computer, this might take a while, Lol.
But yes, mine was similar, but the heal part I built was shorter so it was less apt to hit the road in a corner.
I'll keep looking and post some pics if I find it....

i made these. someone from bdb forum sent me another shifter. i cut both arms off the housing. i tried first not cutting the original but it would make too much of a U. so i cut it off to lay them both down. feels way better this way. the rear arm is reversed so i had to fill in the bolt hole because the bevel was facing the wrong way. then i drilled a hole and bevel for the bolt. i drilled holes in the shift lever and both arms so it would look like big dogs Vison look to match my hand grips. i also ordered another toe peg to match the set. once welded then sanded it up some to smooth it out then i had it chromed.
