Got it back,only problem is my Speedometer is dead. They put a used one in it, tryed 2 different other speedo's,it's definitely dead. Whats the best way to go, BDM? or does Dakota make one to go in a 04?

Speedo is dead? But they tried 2 others and none of them worked?

All 3 are dead? Or it's not hooked up right?

They tryed two other ones they both worked,mine is dead. I bought one of the used ones ($25) but the odometer is way off and the rubber piece is missing. Would like to get another one like the original or a Dakota Digital if they make one to fit my bike.

I assume even though it's mounted in the tank its the same speedo. Yours looks like the same one I have and the Dakota will work.

Medallions are cool.. Thats on my to do list.. Not a huge fan of dakota digital but If one were on sale I wouldnt pass it up

I've got a solution, Straight from Bob at BDPP, AutoMeter 2 5/8" same Speedo just doesn't say Big Dog (they don't have any). Autometer will put any mileage you want on it for $25. Plus, Autometer says they are WAY different (Hopefully Better) than the older ones. They've got White,Black,Flamed and Chrome faces. I'm leaning towards the flamed one,should look really cool at night,the chrome would be even more glare than I get now.

Are you going to order that from BDM or from auto meter.. And does that fit right inside our stock housing? I wouldnt mind to eliminate my dummy lights (tach ring)

Probably gonna order from jp. Supposed to be the same speedo, I gotta call autometer again to make sure it has the two studs in the back. Can't find any pictures of the back.

Sorry I'm still stuck on the three speedos that didn't work! Were those deemed inop or do you still have a wire issue to the plug? If so getting a new speedo wont help, did I miss something? Sorry if i did!

My original speedo died, apparently just before my ehc, they tried two different used ones, they both worked, confirmed mines bad. I bought one of the used ones for the mean time. But am gonna get a brand new autometer. Which is the same as factory.
