xXx Carburetors does it again!!!!!

I first heard of xXx Carburetors back in 03 after I had just bought my 03 Mastiff. I was looking in the back of an Easyrider magazine and saw this small B&W add for them. So I looked it up and did some research and sent in the S&S G carb for them to do their magic plus install a Thunderjet.

Then in 04 I bought my 05 Chopper and first thing I did was remove the E carb and send it to Bob again. I've ran that carb ever since but this time I didn't have the Thunderjet installed. Didn't need it since it only works above 4500 rpm and I never see that on my bike.
But in the last year my mileage has been suffering greatly. I've ran out of gas at 160 miles, then 130 miles and just recently at 99 miles on a tank. I have a 5 gl tank on my bike so usually can run to 180 miles but something was happening.

So I called Bob and he recommended I pull it off and send it in for a rebuild. Said I could be leaking around the accelerator pump, float needle or the air/fuel screw is worn out.
So I send it in and he does his magic again to it. In addition, he has some new tricks he does to the carbs that he didn't do years ago. Now I have it back on and the bike is purring nicely again.
I couldn't believe it was even the same carburetor. He sure made it look brand new again. It's almost to pretty to put on my old worn out bike!!!

If you don't know about xXx Carburetors check them out here:

You will be amazed at what he can do to your carb. He also was involved with the Fire Hydrant carb that OCC put on their Fire Bike years ago.

What does something like that set a guy back these days Raymundo?
Geez Mikie, that was almost 8 yrs ago!!! I don't know............ :D

The rebuild service is $50

The chrome will cost you some more too over the initial mods he does but it sure makes it purty

I wish I had more money.
I must agree. Very shiny. If I were to have it done I would just do the inside. When I got the bike it had the thunderjet. So for all I know Bob may have already done his thing. Is there anyway to visually tell if it has been xxxed?

You can measure the bore. He bored them to a specific size and they are listed on his site. Push you can tell by the airhorn in it

I hear you Paul get that Skoot back together. Can't wait to see your finished product. And I'm a previous pitbull owner so I can appreciate your custom build

Ray what's the greatest value of the XXX carb in your opinion ?
I guess besides being a beautiful Carb, I like the tune ability of it. Probably not many still running an E Carb but throttle response is supposed to be crisper. All the extended adj. Screws are nice too.
