Brother, I am sorry to hear about your losses and all the losses up there. But you definitely have the right attitude. Stuff is replaceable, family and people are not. Glad to hear all are safe. Good luck going forward!

The Man upstairs works in mysterious ways, Nick. This will only make you and your family stronger and makes you appreciate one another all the more. Best of luck on getting back on your feet and have fun looking for the new ride

I know the feeling of losing so much in such a short time. Even though Katrina ravaged down on us, it didn't compare to my barn going up in flames about 3 years ago while I was up north goose hunting. Lost my '92 Fatboy, amphibious Argo 6-wheeler, 24' offshore boat, all my toys, ALL MY TOOLS, compressors, generators, sandblaster, welders and the list goes on and on. But my biggest loss was my 2 year old English Setter "Hank" that had a kennel attached to the side of the barn. The local news "Times Picayune" came out and with over $100K loss gone up in smoke, they wrote an article about my hunting buddy, Hank. He was the one thing I couldn't replace. One great little bird dog. His registered name was, "Hankerin Foa Flush". I know all this doesn't make your loss any less, but losing a bike or material things will come back to you in time. You have your family safe and that's what really matters.

Don't know about the Ridge, but I jump back and forth between the '04 Mastiff and an '07 Fat Boy no problem. Mastiff rides rock solid for me. Maybe a little more wind in your chest on the pro-street, but the ride is great.

Brooklyn, NY? Never heard of it. Brooklyn, MS is where I hale from. Rocky (my wife) owns the Mastiff, I have the Pitbull. Truthfully, other than the Mastiff being a smother ride, there's not that much difference between them. The Pitbull is a little longer, but after being on it for 5 minutes, it's like you've ridin it all your life. I just prefer the looks of the Pitbull, as Rocky does her Mastiff.

So Sorry to hear about your loss Nick but most importantly the family is safe, the main thing. Keep the family close, and always be thankful for that. All the material stuff very possibly seems like not as important when the family made it though the storm.

Keep us posted,
Ray
