I am looking forward to riding my Big Dog when I get back home in December. I'm curious about the "feel" of the Dog VS the Hog. I currently have a sporty and a Dyna.

Thanks for your input!

For me, it took a little bit of learning how to lean that 300mm into a turn. I came from a Suzuki C109 with a 240mm (which isn't exactly small either) but it handled pretty well for a large bike having 1800cc's and pulled me very well. But my 2007 Pitbull took much more "coaxing" into a corner. However, after a few rides, no problems anymore...and the best part is throttling out of the turn.

Hope the weather cooperates for you come December.

I wish I had more money.
Take the dog to a big open parking lot. Put a little time on it in the lot I bet within a little bit you'll have it.

Yup, it took me a few days to get used to the 300 in my K9... after that all GOOD!!!! :2thumbs: and yessssssssssssss the best part is when I twist the throttle :D

my ridgeback with the 300-rear tire kinda walks out from under -you a little if you accelerate too much on a lean-while making a turn! But once your out of the turn & straighten up kick-it! It's a blast of FUN! I think the Big-Dogs are pretty well balanced for custom bikes!

Earl, how much you weigh? Can't hit the throttle too hard if you're still in the turn with these engines...or it'll slide on you a bit. I likely don't have as much of an issue as I run 290 lbs. and hold that fatty down but still don't like to accelerate until I'm coming back up out of the turn. Ride safe.

The optimum word used here is " feel ", not ride. When you go from a rice grinder to a Harley, you feel manly; When your on a Dog, you feel like a King. (see short stories pt1) There's not............. never mind, read the story
