if its an 04 you can put a slam button on your starter.... that will get it to crank -- as long as the EHC still works for the ignition you are good to go (until you want to rewire/munit/wp/pdm).....

He's up and running. Looks like I fucked up and didn't lock down the power cable off the armature after putting battery grease on it.

Glad you found the problem. The other good thing is you've learned a bit more about your Dog. However it would be of benefit to others as to where you found the issue. Might help someone else.....

EHC PROBLEMS

Look, If you have other intermittent problems with the bike and the battery is good and tested and the starter is good it sounds like the EHC, I think the main hints to the EHC being bad would be other intermittent issues leading up to the no start no EHC Lights. if you need a kit EHC WP-374
for your bike I have them in stock call me at Vicious Cycle Works 724-662-0581 I will throw in the Ignition switch free, look , this may be the fix or not however I have heard hundreds of problems from Big Dog owners and the issues there having were all intermittent and different .This is no sales pitch I don't care if you buy the kit or not this is just another ghost your chasing like all the other Big Dog owners. Its just about always the EHC that is the problem .
