Starting a Hot Big Dog

Hit the starter button in the moring and the starter spins and spins and throws the engine over easily.

Stop to get gas when the engine is fully warmed up. Hit the starter button again and the struggle between the starter motor and the engine begins. I root for the starter motor. Many times a couple of hits of the starter are required when hot.

Any suggestions on how to fire the bike up hot?

I have a brand new 405 CCA Braille Battery. All the electrical connection are good.

I never choke or prime the engine with the accelerator pump.

Thanks, Cor.

I press my releases several times whenever I ride just to keep them loosened up. They tend to stick if you don't do that. I had the same symptons as you do and this has helped greatly.
