Guys,

So after getting my bike up and running from the won't start issue, battery smoking etc. I had reloader come over last week and everything was good. Went over to bike week yesterday had a blast and this evening decided to take a little run. Came up to the red light and smelled smoke. Looked down by the VR and smoke coming out. Pulled over and withing a min fire. Called the fire dept and watched helplessly while my bike was burning. NO one stopped to help. The flames got up 4 to 6 in about up to the oil filter. I just left the gas station and knew the bitch was going to burn to the ground. It took the fire dept at least 7 min, but by the time they got there it had burned down for the most part. I already had the battery out. My question is with the recall, which by the way mine was going in after bike week is it possible this is going to be covered? Bike is out of warranty. I tell you if I didn't have bad luck lately I wouldn't have any at all. :( . I'm not even really mad at this point I supose it's just not in the cards for me to be at bike week.

Insurance will cover this.

Man, I got the same bike but hopefully the flames stay in the paint.

Dude, keep us informed of the trials and tribulations of this event.

that might not be a bad idea sulconst2. This would be the second time you made a great recommendation for my troubles.... thanks for the advice. I should say the bike really isn't all burned up. It could have been waaay worse the way it was looking.

That is a great idea by Sul. Take it there on a trailer and then roll it over to the BDM truck.

Sounds like we might need to carry a small fire extinguisher in the tool roll But will it fit?? Any small chrome ones on the market?

Go to the VP - Tue they are having a big show there and he will be there for sure. BDM is good about standing behind their product. Take advantage of this opportunity - he's a guy that can take care of everything with one phone call.
