All the tire talk lately has me wondering - how long is a tire safe to ride on even if the mileage is low? I purchased my '07 Pitbull from a gentleman this past May and he only had 2,600 miles on it. I've since put about 1,000 on it but the tires are original. I've checked them over thoroughly and they look to be in very good condition even though they are Avons. I guess the question is, am I pushing my luck? Or better yet, what are some warning signs that my tires need to be replaced regardless of the mileage?
These tires must be at least five years old and likely 6+ as the '07's were likely built in '06 with tires that had a little age on them already.
Thank you.
Thank you.
