Idle Speed??

Guys I just got my '07 K9 in today. It is carb'd and after reaching operating temperature it seems to idle really really slow. The tach actually lights up all the way across like it's warning me??? What should the idle be set at? With it just barely running like it is at idle, I would think it to be hard on the crankshaft.....

Congrats also, in addition to keeping the idle 1000 RPM, also be careful about letting it lug. Try to keep the operating RPM above 2000 RPM when at all possible, IMHO best normal operating range is somewhere between 2500 and 3000 RPM. Dog love to run and not lug behind!!!
