Did you check the relay? Clicking, sounds like it doesn't work. I had the same problem before. Can you make a hot wire to start the starter directly?

I will try that. Havent had a chance to do what everyone suggested yet, wont be back home til sometime saturday. The clicking is coming from the top of the rockers though, not the starter. Not yet motorcycle mechanic inclined quite yet, guess their somekind of compression release in the center of the top of rocker?? Thats whats clicking. I have lights and the speedo is clicking on, just seems like no juice going to start it. Thats why i was asking about the ehc.

clicking of the compression release should indicate they are working. try pushing down on the bubble in the top of the rocker and feel if it goes down. If it goes down after you have hit the run button would indicate the compression release is not working.

I bet you it's a relay! Clickin comes from it. In that case it's not a problem to start directly with a 'hot wire' between the plus and ground of a starter.
If that's the issue - U'll buy a
I'll try to post some pictures later how to make it.
P.S. The relay is cheep - buy one and replace it, just to know if it doesn't work.
Those below are just for example:

I know it'd keep it from running, figured it'd still turn over though

Maro, the 05 and newer don't have a relay like your older bike. It's now built into the EHC.

Hope you get it worked out. But think that if you have lights on the EHC and Ignition you should still get it to turn over. Still sounds like a voltage issue. Put a voltmeter on the starter wire connector and other lead to ground. Turn bike on and hit run and start and let us know how much voltage your getting there.

Thank's Raywood! My mistake. :(
OK, but wat makes the 'click' in that case?
It comes from the electronic compression releases

He said the only click he's hearing is the compression releases. The first item I would inspect would be to make sure that the green wire has a good connection going to your solenoid/starter. They've been known to come loose and when they do, you lose power going to the starter. Just my 2 cents, but all I have is 2 cents.

Just wanted to drop a thanks to everyone. Got her up and running a few hours ago. It ended up being jammed bushings in the starter. Appreciate all the help and suggestions.
