i'm looking into purchasing a 2002 big dog pitbull chopper with 21k miles for about 7k. i use to ride a 2008 harley street glide so i know this one is a world apart so i have a few questions:
1.is $7000 a good price even though it needs some minor cosmetic touch ups?
2. how is the reliability on these bikes?
3. has anyone put speakers on them, and how did they sound since it's a loud bike?

and any other information that you think would help would be appreciated!!!! thanks.

May want to look there is a really nice 05 chopper on here maybe for sale
.... And I am not going to comment on speakers on a pitbull. Just waiting to show "some members" on here the big middle finger. Lol IMO 7k is too much for a 02 Pitt with cosmetic problems.

Anything on the bike??? My personal thing is if your going to spend 7K you could really find some other bikes out there for just a little more maybe later models.. I know its your choice and others have their opinions... One good thing about the 02's it's before things went proprietary to big dog.

7K is a decent price for that bike providing the cosmetics is really minor. I hope you know that the hardtail is a totally different ride then the Streetglide. As far as speakers go you can probably get the speakers to mount to the bars but then you got these 2 ugly looking things sticking up from your bars. Your not going to hear the tunes depending on the pipes you have and the wind noise, not like the glide. Reliability is good because it's mostly softtail parts and there readily available. Good luck. By the way do need to do an intro.

7k for a 02 Pit Bull, without seeing the bike, good deal. 02 had the S&S 107 motor and a FIVE speed trans. Best of luck.
