Maybe because they have no dependable product?

They have the most dependable product. I selling wire plus on here because I quit sponsoring this forum as a business and stopped selling them over the counter do to slow incoming quantity. I just installed a module in CURDOG's bike today. All i can get is barely enough for in shop installs.

Damn it feels good to be back running again! After extensive troubleshooting with everything pointing to the EHC I gave in and went for the WirePlus replacement. Jake swapped it out today in his shop and once everything was buttoned up, I turned the key on, hit the run button, mashed the start button and she fired right up. :2thumbs: When I first started the process of running down the problem I hoped that I could find some kind of connection or shorted wire problem but there was nothing wrong with the wiring. I want to thank those who chimed in to help with troubleshooting ideas.

I started a thread a few weeks ago to track the troubleshooting progress but in summary my '08K9 began having intermittent problems starting and eventually wouldn't start at all. Also, the left front blinker wouldn't work. When I checked all wiring and controls and found no problems and couldn't locate a good EHC to validate my suspicion I decided to replace the EHC. Now, everything functions properly again. :whoop:

Kudos to Jake - BDMRIDGEBACK.

All this sounds like the motions a company in trouble makes before they die...gonna bee a shame when Wire+ is gone, but things don't last forever when you support a product that ain't made no more (BDM, AIH, BBC)

Well I'm probably going to jinks myself but here it goes. I got mine installed over a two day period (only a few hours each day). Knock on wood no issues after several hours of seat time. Everybody is correct when they say "take your time and make sure each crimp is good". Otherwise, I have no complaints on quality. But their turn around time from order to delivery absolutely SUCKS!

Ain't it a good feeling when you hit the start button and it lights off. Congratulations on the install
Had mine in about 16 months and not a minutes trouble.

I installed the pdm this year. Choose it because of the easy plug-n-play over crimping.....
But as mentioned, with either unit, it is great when everything lights up and the motor fires when you push start. I've had no issues with the pdm and sold my ehc for $350 bucks!

If the m-unit works well wireplus is going to be in trouble. I plan to give it a shot.
I cant speak to longevity as my M only has 20 or 30 hours on it so far, but I can definitely say its form and function is superior to the WP unit. The programmability, the double tap start/kill switch, responsiveness of the blinkers/brake lights/horn, alarm system, m-button, m-lock, etc... plus the one piece molded solid as a brick German feel. It's just cool shit. WP units seem to do well holding up to use and abuse but mine toasted when my regulator blew...bad luck for me. The M is not as easy or turn key as the WP...but...if my M died, I'd just buy another one....I like it that much. If it died again...well that's a diff story lol...

Thor, what is the M-button & M-Lock function?

M-button is a digital interface that takes all the controls on the handle bar and turns them into a digital signal the interfaces with the M-unit. So you have a tiny little module up in your handle bars, or under the tank, etc... and then a single wire back to the M-unit.

The M-lock replaces the keyed ignition with a fancy little gizmo that turns on or off when you hold a little "fob" near it. Can be mounted behind the plastic. They also sell a tiny transceiver that can be sewn into the fingertip of a glove. Magic touch!

Nope, m-button and lock are just add-ons. I have neither but will be getting an M-lock as soon as I get around to ordering one.

Another 7 weeks...?

So I ordered my Wire-Plus kit over 5 weeks ago. I've sent two emails with no response and tried calling several times. Always get the busy tone!! Anybody know what's going on? I'm giving it till the end of this month then I'm re-wiring the whole damn bike and changing out the controls. I haven't been running since end of last season.
Sorry,
Needed to vent.
Thanks
I waited 3 months or 12 weeks, was strung along just like you and all the rest...

Wire Plus got the email, non responsive, can't get to the phone deal down cold. But the worst is they billed my credit card from day-one and I paid interest on the $500 plus for 3 months in advance...

But it worked first time and my bike is running great!

Don't think I would wait again though; kinda pricey for what you get.

THORS...I did a google search and cannot find anything related to the M Button, sounds interesting and I wanted to read more about this. Any idea who sells or where we can find more info on this? Thanks for the info....

don't jump to the rewire to fast. I had no option but to rewire mine, the wiring was all hacked to peices when I got it. There are some things the EHC does that just can't be fixed with a hand full of relays.
