I really want a Bull Dog Bagger, I see there are a few brand new ones online around the country. I just want people's opinions before I finance my life away (you know how the wife talks). I am worried about dealer/company support since they are technically out of business? Any other tid bits? Any thoughts? I've been riding motorcycle since I was 10 years old, most recently I have given up Harley's and been heavily into Yamaha Road Star Warriors. I have 2 of them that I love to modify and drive, Sturgis, etc... Thanks for listening, great forum!

No biggie. Welcome to the forum and drop us an intro when you get a chance. I own an 03 Bulldog. It's not a bagger, per se, but did come with detachable hard saddle bags. I've owned her for just a few months but have absolutely fallen in love with my scoot. There are several actual bagger owners on this forum who will likely chime in with some experiences, observations and recommendations that should be more relevant to what you are looking for. Best of luck in research, and once again, welcome to the Pound.

Welcome from Washington State, hope you enjoy the site. Good luck in your search and read up on the threads here, they'll help you learn about the scoot! Learning and repairing it yourself is very cost effective and rewarding...

Got one...Had issue's but most likely based upon my riding style and the attraction to change stuff up. It's an absolute eye catcher and ride's like a Bentley down the freeway versus my old harley. That's my input. You'll be happy and be one of the few..

I bought my big dog with 50 miles on it and no warranty.
As long as the price reflects the fact that you have to pay out of pocket for any problems.
Go for it!

Welcome,

You should be able to get S&S engine warranty, Trans warranty?, Other doubtfull on a newer bike. Check with S&S and Baker Drivetrain for final details.

Overall I've heard that Bigdog has more American made components than does Harley and alot of the parts that are proprietary are mostly available and IF not then aftermarket alternatives are.

My 2007 Bulldog EFI (non-bagger) has been without problems and those problems I did have were easily fixed. It has nearly 12k miles on it now.

It's a pleasure to ride for me as a short jump 200mi round trip Sunday bike but the wife needs 50mi rest stops breaks riding on the two-up seat & 18" sissybar and pad. The issue she has is the passenger pegs are too far forward to stand up on to get repositioned on the seat. She grabs the bar behind her to move around. Thinking of buying a bagger with trunk seat for longer trips.

I have no regrets on my purchase back in late 2007 and still look forward to our weekend group rides.

Don't put yourself in deep debt for it, but anything worth having takes some sacrifice.
Bigdogbro2 and I enjoy them just sitting in the garage admiring them while having a cigar and a beer.

These bikes are not trouble free and require owner involvement, maintenace and commitment to own a factory CUSTOM bike that could have problems. I for one have done all that and enjoy the rewards of owning this unique motorcycle.

It's your choice.....choose wisely.
