Stuck in gulfport MS

I think I discovered hell on earth! Gulfport Mississippi! 12 more days of training and then we head back to CA. I dont know how people put up with this muggy ass heat and humidity.

Lost out my ass on black jack tables last night but we had a great time for sure anyway, anyone on here from around this area?

I've been there. Gulfport 10x better than Jackson!!

I'm in East Texas. Not quiet that far south however we do get a LOT of humidity and currently the afternoon heat is above 100F. California weather is nice, BUT we've got the best BBQ, best looking women, Willie Nelson, etc. So, enjoy and take some home with ya!!!

best place to eat is the Half Shell Oyster Bar, quite a few bikes show up around there. Lots of action and good times down the coast tward biloxi at a huge casino called { hell I forgot } Beau something. I guess had to much fun nthere but its a huge place. check it out.

It's called, THE SOUTH, and yep I live right next door, Covington, La. You get use to the heat. I'll take it anyday over the snow and cold. Nothing like riding your bike in December in shorts and a t-shirt.:2thumbs:

I would've but there ain't room in Venice for more than two with all the little man eating knats. Them little critters have a hell of an appetite.All kidding aside, would have enjoyed meeting you.

Thats what I used to think. After nearly a half century on the Texas gulf coast, I've come to the conclusion that it just sucks!

Bill, aka Rubwhore is in Gulfport. Rocky and I are about 50 miles north, just above Wiggins. Are you on your dog? And for Mastiffdave, the name of the casino is Beau Rivage, one of the top notch casinos on the MS gulf coast. I may get down that way this coming weekend. Not sure what Rocky's plans are, but if she's not working, she'll be riding her Mastiff next to me. What brings you to the tropics?

Brad, it was last summer when I was there looking at a marsh restoration job. And I might add glad that we didn't get. It was just hot as hell and them knats were everywhere. I won't never forget that place.

You don't really ever get use to it, you just learn to deal with it. The bugs too! But like mentioned before, we have 12 months of riding season.......in shorts if you want. Every place has it's negatives. It's a lot like a woman. No matter how fine, sexy or rich a woman is, there's some man out there that's tired of her shit. August is most definitely our hottest, most humid month.

You have to speak for yourself, I've lived and Mississippi for over 30 of my 41 years and I've never gotten used to the heat, and I DAMN sure haven't gotten used to the bugs. Mississippi is my home, but those two aspects suck.

don't cry so loud! It's the south in August! Wait till you get (4-5) 95% humidity days @ 100*!! I have lived in La all my life. Greatest thing about living here, we ride 11 months out of the year!
