Broken Frame!!!!!!!

I would remove what needs to be removed for proper access. Bevel, weld, dress, airbrush.
Then I would keep an eye on it. I know how to weld so it would not cost me anything.
I always try free first.
Even if you dismantle what you need to and tow it to a local welder it will save lots of time and agrivation. Putting a bike together is not hard if you have the skill set. The problem is mistakes and unforeseen things get expensive quick.

Did you ride across a particular rough section of RR tracks near Sturgis like another forum member did to break his frame?:D

Replace with new for peace of mind.

Let us know what you end up doing and how it turned out.

Keep trying bigdogpartsking good guy and always fast shipping might be cheaper in the longrun....get the old one fixed ...then try to recoupe some of your money by sellin the old frame... or new project 2s better then 1......good luck...stay safe that's the bottom line......

Just thought I'd chime in here too.If it was my bike .
I'd fix your frame. Take off everything you can to expose the area need to be fixed
Fender,strut,oil tank ect . . . Have a welder fix her up . Its the easyist and cheapest rout. Can have her back together in a few days and it probably will never brake again .

Okay just thought I would let you all know what is going on... I contacted my insurance and started a claim on my bike, I am gonna take it to a local shop (Beezers Custom Cycle) here in Hell, MI. He is also a brother of my fathers club, and authorized Bigdog wrench. So, so far insurance says it will be covered but you know how they give you that warm and fuzzy feeling at first then bend you over in the end. But time will tell will probably be ordering a frame from Derrick (Partsking) as Beezer has dealt with him before...

Looking at the break and all the rust on it, looks like it has been broke for a while.
