speedo and headlite

hi not on here much but at wits end have a 2008 Mutt with 2 problems 1st is that my speedo and odometer are reading about 15% high. i going down the freeway with my speedo reading 90 mph and the people next to me are doing about 70mph. the same thing with the trip odo. When we get to destination i read about 15% or more more miles than every body else.
Second--today i was on a PGR runand I noticeed that the little blue lite in the speedo that shows ur bright r on was lit and the brights were on. when i pressed the high low switch the blue indictor light flickered as did the headlitebulb itself but i colud not get it to go down too low beams?? my email is califdrmning1@yahoo.com

low beam is probably burned out. when you replace the bulb, check the plug to make sure it is not melted, either way, replace the plug with the ceramic one. lot more heat resistant.

I have the same thing but not as bad. At 25 my gps and my speedo are the same. At 75 my gps says 71.

THANKS in Aug 2011 i replaced the stock bulb with a PIAA H4 GT-X which is draws 60/55 but gives the lite of 135/125 the low beam has already burned out $50.00 bulb. going to see if PIAA has any kind of warrenty. In the meantime anyone have any ideas on the speedo reading about 15% high??

Have you had the EHC upgrade done? Does the speedo sweep one or twice when you start it up?

first, pull your speedo sensor and make sure it is clean and hasn't had anything inside the transmission grinding or rubbing on it.
once everything is good with the sensor (and it is still not working correctly) then proceed to recalibrate your speedometer according to the attached pdf (which was copied right out of the 2007 service manual).

havn't had a chance to read the replies until now so thanks for yours. Where is the sensor and how do i get to it? also where can I get a tech manual for my 2008 mutt?
