02 Pitbull passenger set up-HELP!

Okay, so I've tried searching and haven't really had any luck so I'm going to post. I need to get passenger pegs on my Pit. I've taken the wife for a ride on the fender and she LOVES my new bike. I REALLY need some of your guys knowledge. What exactly do I have to buy? Which brackets will work? It's an 2002 Pitbull with V&H big radius pipes. I need to get her on it soon...she's already giving me the " you're going to have to trade it for something we can both ride on" skit. PLEASE HELP! Thank you-KRJ

My buddy has a 02 Pitbull..he put aftermarket whisker bar on for pegs..he bought them at D and D Cycle..phone # 479-621-1024.
I helped him put them on and they bolted right up with no mods at all.

IF she's on the fender, you'll need a p pad or a 2 up seat. We have a couple seat vendors here. Sterling can probably hook ya up or check with bigdogpartsking (they sell on fleabay). BDPK may even have or be able to get ya a whisker bar and pegs......?

I'd also recommend a sissy bar, for her comfort and security. The happier she is with your scoot, the less likely she'll keep bugging you to trade it in for something else.

Ya I'm def getting a pillion pad for her...that's the easy part...figuring out exactly which whisker bar and clevis kit is where I'm hitting the problem..I threw her on the fender...wrapped her legs around me and shot home from bike night last night...judging by the smile on her face when I was putting it in the garage..I'd say she enjoyed the shit out of it!! No complaints...but...I have to get it set up for her before she does...

Look in the swap meet section or do a search. A member here baught the whole set up for his bike about 2-3 months ago, put in on and his wife did not like it. He was selling everything.

You would have to fab a Sissy bar..Bigdog did NOT make them for the 02 Pit..
aftermarket whisker bar bolts right on though.

Got a peg set from a BD dealer , polling pad off eBay and a sissy bar set up from Ginz Choppers. Yes you will be spending some coin, but it will keep her happy even on long rides .

Sorry to hear. Look on his threads, I gave him some info and where to look. You can get all that stuff right on line or ebay.

She's spent A LOT of time on the back of my racing dirtbike and quad...she LOVES that too! So ya she's def a trooper...she kinda knew what to expect...I don't take it easy...EVER!!

FINALLY got a call back from D&D. They say that have not had any parts for a Big Dog in their shop for a long time and have absolutely no clue on what parts I need to get passenger pegs on my Pitbull. Sure will make my life a lot easier once I get this fucker set up so I can take my old lady riding...SHE'S PISSED OFF.. hell I'm REALLY starting to get pissed off! No one can help me find the right parts. No one has any parts that I need. I see my identical bike with passenger pegs on em all the time but I can't seem to find jack shit. Starting to loose hope FAST!

I searched before I EVER posted. I contacted that Chris guy who bought that bracket from JP cycles. He said he could only get one bolt into it to hold it on and that he was going to go another route. I was actually going to buy everything off of him because he wasn't going to use it. Long story short...we agreed on price..I never heard from him again. I've reached out to every guy on here with a bike like mine that I've seen with passenger pegs and everything. Once again..no luck. I was hoping to find out from someone where I could buy something that would fit and bolt up 100% I guess I'm going to buy that bracket from JP that Chris bought and figure out a way to make it work. Really didn't want to have to wollow out parts to get them to fit..but if I have to I will.

Good Luck, try doing a google on the bracket. You might come up with different companies instead of the one from JP. Their might fit better without fabricating.

Ya man..I've googled..yahoo...called EVERY bike shop that I've seen advertise custom parts for custom bikes...man this shit is getting aggravating! I really just think I'm going to throw in the towel and buy that one you showed from JP and make it work. It is the only one I've seen that even looks close...one way or another I'll get it done...I know it can be done...I've seen TONS of bikes JUST like mine with them...never thought it was going to be THIS big of a BITCH!!!!!

thats just for the bracket, not the pegs , just ask them to set you up .
