Will a K9 fit in a full size pickup?

Thinking about going to look at a K9 Saturday, just wondering if I should take my truck and haul it back if I buy. On an angle from corner to corner the bed measures 9' 7" with tailgate closed. If it wouldn't fit I just as soon take my car to save the gas or make other plans.

I have a 10' enclosed trailer and my K-9 just barely fits with the doors closed. You'll be very close. A K-9 is 108" total.

Brought mine home in the 8' bed of my p/u. Tailgate down. It's real scketchy coming off using ramps. I haul mine in a 7x16 enclosed now. Way easier!

I had a 2002 long bed (8') Silverado and my bike fit in fine. The contact patch of the rear tire will be right on the edge of the bed so it won't be on the tailgate... and the tailgate will have to stay down.

Get a friend with a trailer hitch and rent a trailer .... don't ride if you don't feel comfortable about it ....

Something to keep in mind if you do plan on hauling it in your truck... get extra long ramps! I have some Black Widow ramps and due to the length of the bike, it would scrape the frame. I would have to find a way to lower the back of my truck, like a ditch, to make it into the bed without scraping... luckily my driveway was a drainage "dip" in it. I had a stock 4x4 Silverado, if you have a 4x2, it may work.

My recommendation would be to borrow/rent a trailer. U-Haul is fairly cheap for a day.

My K9 fit in the back of my SuperDuty with the tailgate up(8ft bed). I stuffed it in at an angle.
I found an equipment dealer that let me use their loading ramp to get it loaded. I have a loading ramp at home next to my garage.

I bent the hell out of my tailgate with my 04 chopper resting on my old F250 tailgate. Take the bike around the block take it too a parking lot get use to the feel. Feels different slow than at speed

I agree with Nine Lives. You need to ride her sooner or later and it will eat at you the whole way home if it is a nice day.. 150 miles is a perfect test drive. RIDE IT!!!!!!

Were are you getting the bike from and where about in N Cnt Pa do you live. If it is my way, maybe I can help you out.

I live in Emporium, Pa bike is in NY said he would meet me at Letchworth state park.

Not everyone in here has a vette Rub . I have a vette but it don't have a hitch on it, so that sucks.

I would rent, beg , or borrow a trailer big enough to haul it that is big enough. That would really suck to drop it getting it home before you even get to ride it. Personally if the weather is good ride it home. Take your time and after a few miles you will be ok. The getting it out on the road and through the first couple gears is the thing to get used too. The rest is like riding the rocking chair with an S&S strapped to it.
