My 07 K9 just hit 10k...I am located in suffolk long island ny. I am hoping that someone could recommend a local mechanic to service the bike locally. Your help is much appreciated. Thx Steve

Thx...I just looked them up and the dealership looks real nice. However it is 85 miles from my house...long way back if I have to leave the bike with them. I was hoping someone would know where the techs from the closed down dealership "empire cycles" are now running shop.

I feel your pain. The only place I trust is 4.5 hours away. I wish it was only 85 for me!!! Ha

Absolutely there is more than enough "How to" threads on here to help you with everything. My advice is change out all your fluids and rebuild your forks with new seals. Also take the primary cover off and check the primary chain tensioner, chances are there is too much slack on it with 10,000 miles if never adjusted. If you were closer I would help you. After you do it once and see how easy it is you would never pay anyone again for it.

FREEDOM!!!
Try giving Bubba or Dennis a call at East Coast Superbikes on Sunrise Highway in Babylon. They do a lot of custom bikes and models. Not a BD dealer but it's the skills that matter the most. Worked with them since the 70's. Never a complaint from me. Top shelf.
