Are Compression Releases Standard on '03 Models??

Hi all, I'm still in the hunt searching for my first Dog. So far I've found the 03 Bulldog most appealing and versatile for my needs. I've looked at a couple, one in person and one online. According to the seller online, his 03 Bulldog came with the compression release already installed. Is that possible? What year did BDM make compression releases standard on their bikes? I didn't think that began until 04. Am I mistaken?

I wish I had more money.
No from the factory. Easily put on as the heads were set up for them already. And easy to check if they are in fact there.

Yep, that's what I thought. The 03's are plumbed for compression release installation but the actual add-on didn't become standard until 04. Thanks for all the input, folks. BTW, I have no problem with Beam having fun on any of my threads. Hey 5-5, you seem to be recovering pretty well, keep it up. Our prayers are with you, bro.

The pain meds work good and I'm not one who can just lay around.... so I peck away typing with one finger on the laptop.

Looking forward to retirement
My Chopper is registered as a 04 but did not have the compression releases. Engine was plugged for them. After running vin # through Big Dog I had learned it was one of the last 2003 bikes made. Frame recall applied for the bike and it went back in 2009 for it. I ended up using S&S electronic compression releases for $321.00
