Backrest Pad - options? mods? ideas? for 18" sissy bar

I was hoping someone could give me an idea for a sissy bar 'pad' for an 18" sissy bar ( '07 K9). The standard BDM backrest plates and pads are fine on the 12" sissy bars, but when you add them to the 18" inchers they are not very comfortable for the passenger as they no longer sit anywhere near the lumbar area of the back. I have looked for a slip-on pad but haven't found anything yet. Any ideas would be appreciated.
