This may be a dumb idea but did you check the plug to make sure it 's hot. I have had the breaker trip before?

I was never sure about the claimed Pulse Technology of The BatteryMinder till a friend put one on an old 12 volt deep cycle marine battery last fall. The battery was old and just about shot but figured he would give it a try so he hooked it up to his BatteryMinder. The instructions say it will restore/repair aging batteries by desulfating the plates adding life to the battery.
After about a week the green light was still on solid.(solid=charging)(blinking green=fully charged/peaked)
Thinking this was a wasted effort he left it on charge and forgot about it. About 2 months later he walked by it in his garage and the damn light was blinking. After a quick check he found all the cells were at 100%. Fast forward to last week and he put it in his fishing boat, connected his trolling motor and off he went.
Not only will this keep your battery Peaked but it can add extra life.
Also when I traded my 05 Road King in Sept 2010 with 50K miles it still had the original battery. If it was parked it was connected to a BatteryMinder.
Not exactly a controlled, scientific study but I’m convinced.

I had one of my two Genius chargers fail so I sent it back to the factory and they replaced it. I also use a couple of Battery Tenders Plus and a Battery Minder. I have not had any issues with these.
