Duel coil

Well I picked up the Duel coil set up from Vulcan. After mocking it up I found that it didn't fit due to the offset from the 300 tyre. So I sent it back and he took the material off that I need and I had him mill the edges on the spacer to match. I'm about to try again with it but then I was looking in the sevice manual in the coil section and I see that it says not to replace the single coil with a duel... If anyone could chime in here it would be a big help. I know others have done it I just don't want to cause any damage... Thanks

Dual coils, single fire, is the hot setup. Looks cool and runs better. You could also do a single coil, single fire.

I though it went to the 7.5A fuse but there's just a direct wire going into that no connection that I can see...

you should be able to trace the wire going from your vr...along the bottom of your frame...up to your battery...should be connected to a 40 amp fuse(don't think you have a circuit breaker being your scoot is a 08)...you will have to pull off your side cover to see...

Yeah I've been trying to trace it but between the looms and all the other wires I keep loosing it. Where abouts is the fuse?

should be just before the battery...find the wire that comes up from the front of the bike...my bike is a 06 and I had the circuit breaker on mine...I am not using the circuit breaker anymore...replaced with a 40 amp inline fuse when we did the Wire-Plus on my scoot

the wire should come up along the bottom of your battery tray towards the battery....should be able to see a fuse...then a connection from the fuse to the positive post on your battery

I'm gonna go look again but when I looked at the fuse I think you're talking about there didn't seem to be any connections going in the direction away from the battery. Just direct wired...

Yeah it's a 7.5A fuse (if I'm looking at the right one) and there's no connection. The wire just goes right into the fuse so far as I can see.

So obviously the red one on the right goes to the battery and the black one on the left goes back to the voltage regulator for anyone looking for the 40A fuse it's connected to.
