Easter weekend did a bit over 700 miles on the bike. Went from Dallas down to Austin on Friday, Saturday rode through some of Austin's hill country and rested up Sunday to head back to Dallas Monday.
Figured I would share some pics from the trip, additionally I tried a new app on my phone that I thought I would share. It's a GPS logging app mainly used by hikers but it works in our case to just incase you drink too much and forget where you went
Anyways, its on Android and called "My Tracks" its made by Google and allows you to upload your travels and will post it via back to Google maps. It also logs a bunch of other things like avg speed, top speed, elevation gain, etc. I turned it on when we were out at Buchanan dam (By the way there is a great bar there right off route 29) and used it till we got almost back for the night. Out Average speed the logger said for the trip was about 28 mph because it logs your time that you not moving and sitting at bar, which we did a lot of that on this trip.
Here is a link to the map and a picture.

After Buchanan Dam and a few beers at the bar we did lunch in Llano during a fiddle festival
When then hit Route 16 down to Fredricksburg. This road was covered in Texas Blue Bonnets for about 20 miles, they laced both sides of the road it was quite beautiful. The rain in Texas has done some great things to landscape.
We stopped in Fredricksburg and I think I had about 4 or 5 beers after doing 350+ miles in 2 days on the rigid I needed a little help to do the last 100 miles back to where we were staying.
Took 290 up to 281 and cut through Marble Falls and up into the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge.
The butterflies are out in full force in that area and did a number on the bike, I gotta take the Spike off and clean the K&N and do a full cleaning on the bike its frigen filthy all in all a great trip. Longest ride I have done on the skoot by far. 700+ in 3 days of riding, and loved every second of it. Can't wait to plan another trip!
