Hey everyone, hoping for some insight.

Last Sunday went out for a ride for a couple hours. About a mile from my house the dog started cutting out, almost like she was out of fuel...So I kicked on the reserve, but that didnt help. I dropped power, everytime I gave it gas to get out of 1st, it sounded like it was going to die. Couldnt go over 5 miles....Barely made it home, parked in garage and shut her down.....Well, now she is dead. No power. Turn the key and nothing. It was really weird. Prior to this was having trouble with my speedometer not working. Could shut it down and restart then it would be ok. Also down at Daytona got caught in some bad rain on the highway. Hi Beam light turned BLUE LIGHT on annunciator and never could get it to turn off. Recently that light went out but only had Hi Beam no Low....Bulb was fine. Then it went to no light until I hit the HI/LOW Beam switch...after that is when it died on me.

Wireplus installed last year, running great up to this point.
Noticed while checking bolts on battery connections, one of the bigger Wireplus Connectors has a scorch mark on the side. And it appears as though one of the wires is burned.

Thoughts....suggestions. I am no wrencher...just love my dog and love to ride.

Thanks,

Ro

Also I have the battery tender hooked up and its solid green. Does that mean the battery is good? When I turn the key the battery tender light turns red. Switch key off back to solid green.

I have had the problem of the speedo not working at times. Then like you, if I shut the bike down and restart it works. At first I must not have let the start routine run its course after I hit the run button. So I be sure to let the needle sweep up on the speedo and settle back down and wait a second or two before starting. Still at times I have to shut it down and restart for it to work. May need a new battery? It sounds like you could have some issues from the rain. Check connectors for short or grd and put some new dielectric grease in them.
