Im sure you have a bolt supply house out that way. My local hardware store carrys alot of chrome bolts. Just take a sample of the bolts you need and match them up by length and thread. Torque them back to specs and use loctite and you should be golden.

The problem I am facing here is US vs EU thread (Metric Vs Imperial)

Do you think the HD shops will have these bolts? Just thought of it :D

Thanks guys.

We have a place called fastenal in the US close to me. They carry metric and standard. I would call a place like that. HD shop might but you will pay alot more. They think their bolts are made out of gold I think. lol

3/8-16X1" SHCS chrome is going to be the size for that bolt.....and yes Harley Davidson dealer should have it. I lost one over the time and went there for the replacement.

Yes they have a generous supply of Chrome bolts. There is a thread on here somewhere about putting longer bolts at those two locations. I think they were 1-1/2" in length. (new ones)

There’s a 3/8 flat washer on top and a 3/8 flat fiberglass washer under, I’m sure you know but just in case you lost the fiberglass one. :2thumbs:

All the hardware you will ever need is at:

Bolt Depot - Nuts and Bolts, Screws and Fasteners online

Chrome Bolts, Stainless Steel Bolts, Metric Bolts, Socket Head Cap Screws, Grade 8 Bolts, F911 Bolts

I also suggest you buy a bolt/thread gauge. It's a little wheel, card, ruler type, there are a few different kinds. Basically you pick up a bolt, and with the gauge measure the size and thread pitch. I have them all over the place, at home and in my shop. Make sure you get one that measures thread pitch. I keep a running list in my phone of what chrome hardware I need, and when it get's long enough I place an order.

In case your ordering , they are chrome socket head cap screws. Bolt suppliers usually will have in stock. As you said HD dealership should have as well and would probably be your easiest method to get one.
here is a link to a chart with different sizes.
