Battery side cover

Give Bob Lockwood at BDPP a call. Last time I was there he told me about the side cover fix they have available. You have to cut the existing tabs off of your covers and then glue the covers to a replacement piece. Not sure on the price..... may be eaiser then finding new ones?

Side Cover fix
I found one side cover tab broken completely through but still in place and the opposite had a sizeable crack. I used Super Glue to put pieces back together and then brought to a friend of mine who added some fiberglass to the inside of the covers and they are as sturdy as ever now.

Yep, this is very common and when superglue doesn't work, JB weld does. Here is my JB weld job which should last a very long time. I still have to get it sanded and painted but it is under the seat so there is no hurry.

My chopper did the same thing on the battery side. The top tab broke off and all I have left is the bolt and rubber grommet. Going to make a new tab eventually, does suck though.
