Question, would it be wrong to ask if anyone has brought something from another member here before I buy something from him?

I have delt with many members on here and have excellent results. SKOGDOG is just one of them that was recent. To anser the question. I'm with DRBarnhart on this one!!

You could even go as far as asking that person you are considering to buy something from if they are ok with you asking openly on the forum. If the person says they don't want you to, that might be an indication of something there. If they are good with it, well, it may help you decide if it is a good decision to buy from them or not.

If someone asked me if it was ok to talk about my business practices, I would encourage them to do so.

But i'm not sure I would put a member on BLAST
I have bought many items from forum members ALL GREAT!
Except for one item I bought from a member in Arizona (which I overpaid) Received the Item and it was cracked un-usable.... I left messages with the member but never received a reply..

It's the cost of the item which makes me want to get a reference before sending my money? If it was just 10 or 20 dollars I wouldn't worry about it. But this is a couple of hundreds.

While there's nothing wrong with asking a potential buyer/seller via PM if they're cool with asking about them in "public" before doing so, why would you? The only person that would have a problem with asking in the general forum would be someone that has done or is planning to do something shady... and you wouldn't want to buy from them anyway! :D

I guess I just don't get why someone with a good reputation in their dealings with other forum members would have any problem with others knowing about it... :confused:

OK, just got a PM from the member and it's DOGESTYLE who I'm getting a seat from for my Ridgeback. If anyone has had any dealing with him please give me a tumbs up if you think he's OK

if a seller has more then say 50 posts i would put my trust in his integrity. i believe that once a person becomes accustomed to this site his integrity is more valuable then any part he might be moving. thats why its not uncommon for parts to be shipped before payment is made or even offered.
