I have been in a few bidding wars on ebay.... alot of times I thought I was bidding against other buyers but it turned out I was bidding against the seller who was driving up the price.

Five bidding wars are all fine and dandy, but at some point you have to say to yourself $100.00 for an oil temp gauge? I'll wait till the next one comes round.

I've got the android ebay app n it works well. Gives you enough notice to get your bid in.

If your sporting an Android phone, the Ebay app in the Android Market is very good and you can set it to notify you if someone else bids on a watched item, if you get outbid, or if the item is ending in 15 minutes.

It is a great app.
