2005 Mastiff on ebay

I have been watching Ebay and have been interested in a 2005 Mastiff. Strange thing is, it has been sold at least twice and each time it is relisted for sale again. One time it sold for like $13500 and was relisted. I thought maybe someone backed out on the deal. The next time it sold for $12000 and was relisted again. Another deal gone bad????? Now it was actually sold and not a "reserve not met" situation. There were a couple "reserve not met" situations earlier. I sent the seller a question about this and never received an answer. I did a little research on the internet and found the bike advertised on a couple other sites. One ad said the price was $6300. It was just listed again a couple days ago.Item number: 160749611931. It had 9 bids yesterday and the bid was $8000. I checked this morning and the ad was gone. It still had like 4 or 5 days to run yesterday. I went to the completed listings and it said reserve not met. There were 14 bids and the last bid was $9100. At the top of the listing it said listing ended by seller and no longer available. I really liked the bike and was very interested, but to me the entire sale just seemed strange. The bike is located in Clovis CA. I bought my 2008 Mutt on Ebay and it was a good transaction. I went to the east coast and picked it up. This transaction seemed like it just may not be on the up and up. What do you guys think?

Situation is hinky. Seller's last eBay posting was in Aug 2008 with nothing since.
eBay feedback history has some "bumps" even though it is 100 percent and old.
That bike is something that I would check out with cash in hand while LOOKING
at the bike in person. Failure to respond to email is another red flag.
You may have avoided a bullet on this "deal."

That is kind of what I thought. Definitely would have to see in person and have a copy of the title first. I will wait to see if it gets relisted again. If it does that would be about the 6th or 7th time relisted for one reason or another.

Good looking bike, but something is off, I would be very reluctant to purchase.
I really like the look of the bike too! Mainly the tank as compared to my Mutt. It reminds me of my old 50 pan with the split tank and dash on the tank. I like the paint also with the intricate looking pinstripe. Oh well, I will keep my eye open for an 05 Mastiff with low miles and a black or navy paint.

This is shill bidding, illegal on ebay so he can get his account banned if you report it.
He is bidding on his own auction using other ebay accounts trinyng to get the most he can.

may be some dude and his buddy bidding trying to drive price up...
I was thinking maybe the same thing. There were a number of different bidders, maybe 5 or so. Not sure how they could do that, but probably not impossible. I am sure Ebay rules prohibit such a practice.
