Out of all the things I've done to my bike I can't believe these new baffles are so confusing.
First of all I purchased the Big City Thunder Monster Baffles for my V&H Big Radius 2-2, part #2002. In the instructions it says that the "gun sight" or "bullseye" has to be at least 3" from the end of the pipe but they recommend 6". Baffle itself is approx 3" inches with the "gun sight" or "bullseye" part at one end. My intention is to place it in so the gun sight end is furthest from the end. The special instructions for the radius pipes says that it must be six inches from the end preferably with the "gunsight" closest to the rear. I was planning on using the existing baffle screw hole on the pipes and placing it at three inches. Now after reading this I am planning on drilling a new hole and having at six inches facing towards the rear for "optimum sound and performance", like they state. Am I overthinking this crap. Please chime in with suggestions. Drilling a hole is no big deal, just want feedback. The original V&H baffles suck even after I cut them down. They sound like crap. Thanks.
