Primary Oil Leak through Clutch Pushrod

Checked out my vent button and sure enough, it was clogged right up. Blew some air and brake cleaner through it, put it back on and went for a ride. After 30 miles on the freeway, pulled over to check for a leak and all was good. Jumped back on the highway and few miles down the road, it started leaking from the clutch cover. When I got home, pulled the primary vent button and it was clogged again. I'm going to change out the primary fluid, install a new vent button check for extensive wear on my clutch plates and try her again.

I will have a few of my primary vent upgrades in by tuesday of next week. PM me if you want one. The design has changed a little from my first attempt and this style works great.

Will it be a "plug and play" type upgrade or will drilling/tapping be required? Thanks!

A plug and play would be too small IMO for proper venting... I was going to do a drill and tap style but have since decided on using a bulkhead type connector to keep costs down and make it easy for anyone with a drill to do. The kit will come with a polished fitting, drill bit, hose, and all gaskets/seals,needed. I will have a step by step video that I will be putting up on the site to show how easy it is.

UPDATE ON LEAK

Finally got some down time to look into this leak a little more. When I drained the primary it was a half qt overfilled. My guess was a seal between the trans and primary must be leaking causing the primary to overfill with trans fluid and vent through the pushrod to the right side. Pulled the outer primary and clutch basket off to replace the trans main shaft seal and in doing so, noticed not only was the little o-ring installed on the shaft damaged but the clutch hub washer was crushed pretty good. Looks like when that o-ring tore it also loosened the clutch assy taking pressure off the trans main shaft seal and allowed trans oil to leak into the primary. There was a TSB a while back that called for the o-ring seal to be removed and looks like it finally caught up to me. I've always had problems with clutch adjustment, getting the bike in neutral at a light, and creeping when stopped. Took the scoot out for around 300 miles today and have to say it's never shifted better, no longer slams into 1st when cold, and getting into neutral is a breeze!!
