Bare Wire on Starter

How are you fixing the bare wire on the Starter, looks like the insulation has pealed off of mine.

I would just wrap it up tight in electrical tape or shrink wrap it if possible. I've never looked at mine. Guess I better.

if you remove bolt you can slide shrink wrap on, works good I have done to mine and several friends common problem.

Flaking Starter Wiring Insulation!!!!

I had to use shrink tubing to repair the deteriating rubber insulation covering the starting power wiring. I have a 2008 EFI K9 and noticed the rubber covering was flaking off the copper wire. I HAVE NEVER IN MY 50 YEARS OF RIDING/DRIVING VEHICLES SEENS SUCH A SORRY PRODUCT!!! It's obvious, the manufacturer of the starter didn't care about selling a quality product.
