As some you may know I lost my 2007 K9 to a fire this summer. The Bike caught on Fire, and was totaled Damm I miss her. Well I thinking of replacing her with a New, YES NEW, Big Dog 2009 Wolf from Cycle City in New York. I loved my K9 but don't want to buy the same bike twice. The Wolf appears to have everything I want but the 300 tire. Sorry I just love that look of the FATT ASS TIRE on the road. Has anyone here have any dealing with Cycle City? And if you have a Wolf how do you feel about the bike and the ride???

I bought my K9 from Cycle City in Tennessee. The owner, Duane, assisted with getting Cycle City of NY up and running. I believe he has some oversight with the business. He is a good guy and has helped me out with various issues I've had with my bike.
As for the Wolf, I've never ridden one but I sure a hell wouold like to own one. They are sweet! I've looked at the Cycle City inventory online and that white one they have is awesome.

The 09 Wolfe is a beautiful, sexy bike; however it is important to be aware of issues/upgrades that will be needed if not already performed. We have a member of the forum's bike for sale, he has done it all ... S&S will honor the 2 year warranty, however down time sucked. Cam belts tend to break unless the EZ Start Cams are installed, no issues once done. Remember, this is not an Evo - It's FI and lots of stuff need to swap out to get over 100hp, we're seeing 70's without. Once done - MAGNIFICENT! LOL

This is a nice bike but I really don't want to do a K9 again. I want something different, plus this bike is too far away to take a good look at it before buying. I seen another member selling his Wolf for a nice price, but I'm in New York and the Bike is in AR. Too far to look at a bike before paying 22K with bike unseen.

I was thinking the Blue one myself, but both look good. Just missing the 300 Rear Tire.

I had a Wolf for two years and put 12K miles on it. I looked at a K9 when I purchased the Wolf, but the K9 felt too big for me (5'9", 160lbs). Overall I was pleased with the Wolf, but here are some of the things I noticed. The motor was a lot weaker than I thought it would be for a 121" as has been mentioned by others. The suspension was not quite as good as I thought it should be for a softail frame. I learned to grit my teeth when going over bumps...LOL. The ground clearance is very low; about 3" or so. I bottomed out many times going over small bumps, especially those curb cutouts going into driveways. The seat is adequate, but not a lot of room to move around on. It was still a totally awesome bike and got lots of attention as all Big Dogs do.

I ended up getting a 2003 Chopper this year to replace it. I personally prefer the chopper ride and feel over the Wolf. If you have the opportunity, ride the Wolf before you buy it.

Ground clearance: 114 mm (4.5 inches) - same as most other BDMs. to get the power of the bike you will need to change the exhaust, intake, computer, rails and runners and throttle body.

WOW, sounds like a project after getting the bike.

I would have to agree with just about all of the previous posted info. The ground clearance can be a problem as it is less than 4". I took a different route with modifications. I went with a big bore kit taking CI to 128CI, ported heads, Offroad ECM, and 569 easy start cams. The wolf rips now. I haven't dynoed it yet but will soon.

I have a 2010 Wolf and love it. Have 2,500 trouble free miles. Runs great, easy to handle, and draws a crowd everywhere it goes. Dyno'd at 102 HP and 110/ft lbs with minor mods to the map, free flowing exhaust, and dual runner intake. It does have a low clearance so you have to be careful going over bumps.
