I have an '05 Pitbull, I need to prime the oil pump (air in system), manual says all lines must be connected then remove check Ball and fill with oil. Problem is the oil line is in the way of the check ball cover????
Any ideas on how to purge air out of the system?
Thanks Ken

PS to explain further... I had all the engineoil drained and the oil filter out. I was adjusting the chain tension on the primary (with the spark plugs out), as I was turning and main shaft by hand, I heard gurgling from the oil tank. I immediately stopped and installed the oil filter and filled the oil tank. I then turned the engine over several times , using the starter(with out the plugs).

Now when cranking by hand the gurgling has almost stopped (just a little on the down stroke.

Now I am not sure if oil is pumping with a tiny bit of air, or is there an airlock so bad that there is no gurgling due to no pumping action?
