Handle bar mounts

Yes, your bike came with rubber mounts but I think most of us replace them with Polyeurathane mounts.
Check out Chubby's for both kind. They are generic so worder what you want. Eurathane ones come in soft and hard or you can get the rubber mounts too.

I may have to adapt some rubbers before i head of touring over the xmas break.

Rubber, or Poly, or Solid? That Is The Question.

:flag: JeffM, as you have stated the roads that you ride are rough, and that you were satisfied with the feel of the rubber mounts, then it`s a no brainer to replace them with more of the same. I had rubber riser dampers on my K9 when new but they deteriorated rather quickly even after rotating them to extend their life. I finally installed the poly type and I`m happy with them even though they are a little stiffer and they do transmit more of the road vibration. Good luck on whatever you choose to use. :cheers:

I think what is is saying Ray.
He had to use soft tail duce tripple trees and they are off a late model. they dont have the bushings in them.

If you have a bad vibration something is wrong! There is some vibration with hard mounted engines but not the type to make your hands numb! Jackhammer type vibrations are an indication something is wrong.

I once test rode a few K9's at a dealer that had more vibration than my 1968 custom BSA which was put together with sledge hammers and not a torque wrench in sight. Basically, I told them they need to address those vibrations or nobody is going to buy them. I think they were knuckleheads who didn't know what they were doing. The speedometers were broken, mirrors falling off, and my foot wanted to fly off the foot peg. Give me a break, this isn't normal. I can ride my Ridgeback more than 500 miles in comfort.

Short story is if you suspect something is wrong, it probably is.

Sorry for the rant. :rant:

PS I would follow Raywood's advice and install Polyeurathane mounts.
