RETIRED
I have one on my 07 Bulldog and it is the hardest part to keep looking good. For some reason, it stays pitted from rocks or gravel picked up form the front tire. Been thing about leaving it off, butI guess it is the front line defense. I don't have pictures, but can post some later today if it helps you make up your mind.

Really want to see it on a Mastiff but of course pics are always a beautiful thing:up:

I'm hoping I wouldn't have to do any fabricating. I'm not a huge fan of monkey rigging things especially on some moving art work, like a Dog.

I'm thinkin about a chin spoiler for an 08 Mastiff anyone put one on that has pics and part numbers? Thanks

This is not a very good pic, but it's on a 2006 Mastiff

I don't have part #'s but its for a 2005 pitbull and I did not have to modify any thing just paint and bolt on.

I bought one for my 08 mastiff from BDM before they closed down and I had to send it back twice because they kept telling me a different yr bulldog that would fix. So I ended up getting stuck with the on I got so I plan on cutting it down the middle and put a piece of metal down the middle and bondo or fiberglass it and prep for paint. I still have to figure out how to attach it since it doesnt have the connections like the bulldog.

That's gross bro, sorry to hear that. See that's one of the types of situations I'm always wary of when starting a new business relationship. Not to mention I don't even want to bother if I can't get one that looks like it belongs on there. They are back up and running now right? Have you tried to see if they'll make it right this time around? That is if you haven't cut it up yet.

this is what I got back from BDM performance products:

BigDog Motorcycles LLC went out of business in April. This is BDM Performance Products supplying parts for BigDog Motorcycles and American V-Twin Motorcycles.

That was all done by BigDog Motorcycles LLC. I can not do that.

how did you mount yours?
This was a kit that I got from Nelson. Nelson was a vendor on here for a while under wicked bastards cycles. Came with a bracket that is attached to the frame held by the VR bolts then the fiberglass or body mounts with four screws from the under side.

So they are implying that they are unaffiliated simply because they fall under a different business category/heading. Sounds like typical pass the buck BS to me.:job:
Nice scape goat to avoid any responsibility...

I have the 2007 Bull Dog. The stock spoiler also has pits and chips. Doesn't feel like it's attached very well either. I'm gonna go look and see how it's attached now.
I thought it was designed to move the air over the engine. Is it just for looks or does it have a purpose?

I think i got an alternative

Hello!
Since there is a need for this part and BDM is no longer doing it, i was thinking (since i am a mold maker specialized in plastics with more than 15 years of experience) i could make a mold for that part in order to reproduce it in ABS plastic.

I dont know if there is going to be any issues regarding the plastic (not sure if ABS plastic will work for this application) and if the part will require other components for its installation (i.e. brackets) etc that i am not aware of.

If plastic works fine, that part will be cheaper than fiberglass or carbon fiber, will not crack easily and will be more durable and flexible.

If somebody can provide me with any additional information (dimensions height, width, lenght) that will be great.

And more importantly, if somebody has this part available (old, broken, used, doesnt matter) that I can purchase it in order to come up with the mold, please let me know.

Thanks!
SAM

Chin Spoiler fitment

SO did anyone ever figure this out? I am trying to figure out if the chin spoiler for a 2007 bulldog will mount (without) modification to a 2007 mastiff? Anyone know for sure?:flag:

The chin spoiler for a 2007 Bulldog will only fit that year and model due to the down tube curvature. Otherwise, it will not fit to the contour of the frame and look funny.
