04 Ridgeback Oil Level?

First - I'll apologize as I am sure this has been asked before but I searched for an hour to no avail.:loony:

What is the proper way to check the oil on an 04 Ridgeback? On the stand or upright? There is no dipstick, so am I looking for up to the filler tube? WTF does that even mean?

I looked at the owner's manual for the 04 on WB Cycles page however it doesn't have the information, all I was able to find was for an 03 which said 1.5 inches below the lip of the oil bung. Is there a similar trick for the 04's?

Thanks!

Thanks Raywood!

Burned!!! Thanks for the help. No sure how I missed that looking through all the Oil threads last night.

We'll last night I didn't find what I was looking for via search but I did gain vast knowledge on the range of oils people use in their bikes. :2thumbs::2thumbs:

Today I am going to adjust the Air Mix Screw on the carb as it's spitting at around 3000-3200. I'll see if a small adjust there will take care of the spitting. Rather than just throwing in new jets. (recommended by the forum in my searching)

I also downloaded and printed off a thread about dropping the float bowl from GasMan will probably do that as well to make sure things are clean.

I built a new workbench yesterday in the garage, after the sissy bar install I was sick of having parts laying on the floor. So I gotta put that to use! :2thumbs: Nice to have a few days off of work
