Anyone Know where I can get the unique Hollow Tail Light Bolt? The Wire feeds through the bolt.

The one on the 04 Ridgeback is 5/16-18 x 1.5". I can only find available the hollow tail light bolts for the aftermarket which are fine thread 24 and that wont feed into the sissy bar struts from BDM :argue:

If anyone has a set available or might know where I can find it would be greatly appreciated. My only option is to find a Bolt place in town and see if they will do a one-off for me. I searched the yellow pages in Dallas most of the places are talking quanity for custom jobs :bang:

Here is a pic of one just to get you all on the same page.

Damn that picture came out huge! FYI - Bolt aint that frigen big!! haha

Get some bolts the right size, a center punch a vise and a drill and just make it.
Throw some nuts on the bolt to hold it better in the vise and center punch the top and drill it with a regular drill if you can't find them.

Call someone like J&P or Drag specialties and see if they have it -- that size/thread is used a lot for turn signals - not sure about the length.

Already looked at JP Cycles only has Fine Thread (24).

I'm beggining to think its worth a shot don't have a vice however will be tough keeping a drill going straight for 2". If I had a drill press I wouldn't even be asking this question.

U da man! Damn 5 days I gotta wait on this!

I guess I got time to see if my hand is steady enough to drill it out by hand. Nothing a few beers wont help
I think you can contact Shovelheadkicker on ebay, I think he is a member here, I'm sure he probably has another pair in stock and can get them to you faster.

Most any bike shop should have them in stock. Most stock them around my parts.
Used on almost every bike made.

That's what I am going to do this time.

Just curious did you use a set screw to hold the sissy bar in the strut? I'm trying to figure out exactly what screw I need to hold it firmly in place. I don't want it sliding out the back going down the highway.

That's exactly what I did, she is running good. I put about 160 Miles on her today. It's been awhile sense I got to take a nice long ride its been over 100 here all summer in Texas. It only hit 90 today :whoop:

The girl came with me she loved the comfort of the sissy bar and was able to relax, even when the wind picked up!

Hey wanker!

Gee thanks! 5 years late!

I actually have a spare set of these bolts now. Back in 2011 was before Derick and Donna and when big dog went under the first time. At that time parts were difficult to source. Now we are pretty lucky with options
